Do you know how many of the objects you see in museum collections in England are actually still part of everyday life in countries in the Far East? Join us for an afternoon celebrating Taiwanese culture, including bamboo weaving, making Taiwanese tea, playing with traditional puppets and more!

Learn how to draw a Chinese dragon or rooster with Taiwanese artist Jian Zhi Qiu, join a bamboo frog jumping race and make your own bamboo toy.

View original artwork by Taiwanese children and teenagers, who use their drawings to illustrate and communicate their lives, buildings, hometown and customs.

Listen to the traditional stories of the Big Red Rooster and the story of the Daughter of the Land God, play with Taiwanese opera puppets and lion dance puppets, go exploring with a special museum trail and sample the famous Taiwanese green tea!

Free drop-in sessions throughout the afternoon.
