Members get reduced tickets to key annual talks at the Museum, such as the Beatrice Blackwood Lectures, given by high profile individuals in the museum field. Sir Paul Ruddock's 2023 lecture is available in written format online.

Members also receive discounted tickets for our annual study days, which commemorate Kenneth Kirkwood (1919-1997), Oxford University’s inaugural Professor of Race Relations. Kirkwood was instrumental in establishing the Friends of the Pitt Rivers Museum in the early 1980s, which laid the foundations for the Museum's Membership scheme today. Funds raised through this event support the Museum's Kenneth Kirkwood Fund.
