Volunteering
There are a number of volunteering opportunities at the Pitt Rivers Museum, and you can register with the Oxford University GLAM Volunteer Service from the age of 16. Most volunteers support events with the public: from helping with family-friendly activities to staffing the information desk, and from stewarding late-night events to delivering introductory tours. A small number of volunteers help in other areas of the collections: assisting curatorial, administrative or education staff in a more behind-the-scenes capacity.

Internships
The Museum currently offers a range of internships for secondary, further and higher education institutions throughout the year. These are carefully managed though well-established partnerships with selected organisations. Please enquire whether your institution offers placements with the Pitt Rivers Museum before contacting us. Unfortunately we are not currently able to take individual requests for work experience placements.
Work experience
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer work experience placements to secondary school students. However, we do offer a range of out of school activities that you may be interested in.
Apprenticeships
The Museum, as part of Oxford University, offers a number of apprenticeships. Find out more on the University of Oxford Apprenticeships website.
