Early Career Research Opportunities

The Pitt Rivers Museum is an exciting and vibrant place to conduct research, with world class collections, rich documentation and archives, as well as the Balfour Library. Early Career Researchers based at the museum work on a diverse range of topics within anthropology and archaeology and cognate disciplines.

Whilst there are currently no advertised opportunities, we welcome approaches from postdoctoral researchers holding externally funded fellowships who wish to be attached to the Museum and carry out collections-based research at any time.

Potential applicants should familiarise themselves with the research interests and expertise of the Museum's research team before submitting an expression of interest, as well as taking full advantage of the Museum's online collections, resources and databases. Enquiries should be addressed to Dr Christopher Morton.
